Blood-Borne Disease Surveillance

The OHA and OMA have released a revised protocol for Blood-Borne Disease Surveillance. These protocols are in compliance with Regulation 96 5, Section 4 of the Public Hospitals' Act. The protocols are the minimum occupational health standards regarding communicable diseases that Ontario Hospitals MUST implement. Hospitals are to review their present policies, guidelines and procedures and make the appropriate changes.
